Job Description:
A Senior / Principal ITS Consultant is required to join the team in Leeds, taking on a lead role in at least one key area of ITS provision. The teams key areas include motorway control, tunnel control, travel information, system integration, LRT/BRT, street lighting, logistics planning and incident management. You will be required to develop an operational business in Leeds and supporting team for the provision of technical, programme and procurement advice and design services to deliver solutions for a transport system which balances the needs of the economy, the environment and society.
Person Specification:
To apply for the position of Senior / Principal ITS Consultant candidates must have a relevant degree and should have achieved Chartered status with a relevant institution. You must have knowledge of and previous experience in at least one of the following areas: travel information, road pricing, incident management, system integration, communications, motorway control, tunnel control, LRT/BRT, street lighting and logistics planning. You will have significant previous experience within an engineering consultancy, providing line management duties and support for less experienced staff. You will be responsible for resource planning, and ensuring adherence to health and safety. You must have a proactive approach.
