Job Description:


The Leeds office of this International Consultancy are now seeking to recruit a Senior Health and Safety Consultant / Principal Designer to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Health & Safety professional with experience of delivering CDM services to join a leading player in its field; in return they will provide the necessary support to develop your career to the next level a in a friendly and well established Consultancy.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

❖ Advise and assist the Client in carrying out their duties.
❖ Collate pre-construction information and identify gaps.
❖ Carry out Health & Safety design reviews.
❖ Undertake a wide range of Principal Design duties.
❖ Learn, understand and apply the principles of quality assurance.
❖ Keep abreast of relevant legislative changes.
❖ Undertake site Health & Safety audits and report findings back to Client.
❖ Collate Health & Safety files.


Person Specification:


We are looking for applicants who ideally have the following skills and experience:

❖ Strong background in the delivery of CDM 2015 services
❖ Excellent Client facing skills and the ability to communicate effectively
❖ An understanding of the need for and ability to apply accuracy in all your work
❖ A sound technical Health & Safety knowledge, applicable to the construction industry
❖ A proactive attitude and a willingness to seek guidance on occasions from senior colleagues
❖ A sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other software packages
❖ A professional manner and outlook
❖ The ability to work concurrently on a portfolio of projects
❖ Competency in reviewing Contractors Method Statements and Risk Assessments
❖ RMaPS status
❖ NEBOSH Construction Certificate qualified
❖ Appropriate CSCS Card
