This organisation is going from strength to strength delivering a full design and commercial / project management service to its Public Sector parent whilst also securing similar frameworks with neighbouring Authorities.

Job Description:

Joining the commercial department of this multi - disciplinary team you will deliver quantity surveying and contract administration services on a wide range of build projects of differing size, cost and complexity.

Duties will include:

~ Preparation of estimates, cost plans and tender documentation using various forms of measurement and contracts.

~ Preparation and agreement of interim valuations with Contractors and issuing recommendations for payment.

~ Applying pricing variations throughout the duration of the contract and provision of cost advice.

~ Attending site meetings providing sound input and support to the project/s.

~ Preparation of monthly financial cost reports and cashflow forecasts throughout the period of contracts.

~ Agreeing re-measurement of quantities with Contractors, and preparation and agreement of final accounts and claims.

~ Preparation of final accounts for Clients that are suitable for audit.

~ Chairing, documenting and issuing formal meeting notes for multi-discipline, Client and Contractor meetings as and when required.

Person Specification:

With the appropriate qualifications and ideally Chartered (MRICS) our Client is looking for an experienced Quantity/Senior Quantity Surveyor who excels in managing multi projects of differing sizes and nature which are predominantly refurbishments/extensions with some new build.

You will be a natural communicator liaising with colleagues within internal departments as well as external stakeholders and statutory bodies and be in your element organising your projects and workload.

A true "inception to completion" role based out of attractive offices in the picturesque location of North Yorkshire.
