My Client is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to produce, manage and forecast build costs for their allotted sites.
You will be reporting directly into the Regional Commercial Manager, your role will be to produce the necessary subcontract trades whilst managing the payment process and contractual obligations.
~ Produce site start budgets, prior to commencement of build
~ Procure all subcontract trades involving other key members of the team ensuring best value is obtained and all subcontractor prequalification criteria has been supplied
~ Attending weekly management meetings at various locations, sometimes outside of the usual workplace
~ In conjunction with the Build Manager, you will host regular meetings with subcontractors to review performance.
To apply for this position you will hold the necessary qualifications and possess at least 3 years housebuilding experience within a high volume developer.
You will possess a good understanding of all aspects of surveying and contractual procedures
You must possess excellent in-depth knowledge of the construction industry
You will possess good knowledge of commercial and financial management systems and controls
You will have to demonstrate strong organisational skills and have the ability to work in isolation but also as part of a team within a growing business.
