The types of projects you would be working on include a wide variety of Commercial, Residential, Education, Leisure and Retail schemes. You would work in an office consisting of around 10 people split between the structures, civils and geotechnical teams. The Associate role will looked to be appointed first so you have the opportunity to build your own team, however if the right person isn't found then;
Our Client is also looking to appoint two Structural Engineers with 3 or more years experience working on similar projects within a Consultancy.
This is a rebuild of their structures team, however for the right candidates you will play a major part in assisting the Wakefield office get back to where they once were. Their Newcastle office comprises of around 25 staff, therefore you'll have plenty of support from that office so you won't be left to work alone.
The more experienced Structural Engineering candidate MUST be Chartered, on the cusp of becoming an Associate or have held an Associates role previously with extensive experience in the structural design of the projects mentioned above. You should be a good team player, willing to 'muck in' when deadlines need to be met, but also able to supervise and coach Technicians. If you were to have business development experience as well, this would prove more favourable to my Client.
The two Structural Engineers, preferably working towards Chartership (for which membership fees will be paid), with 3 or more years experience, again working on similar projects.
Three fantastic roles to join a well established Consultancy in Yorkshire who have gone through hard times in the last 12 months, however for the right candidates there will be opportunities to work on some excellent projects and opportunities for further progression.
